goodbye 2017
I missed the change into the new year. Rather than staying up to watch the clock change, as I do every year, I lay sick in bed passed out. What a fitting way to end 2017.
2017 has been a whirlwind of a ride. I absolutely hated certain moments and loved others.
some standout memories include
-playing Morticia in the Addams family
-getting insomnia cookies with my coworker on valentines day
-seeing youtube space london
-watching lalaland
-playing hide and seek in the music hall
-getting impromptu tea multiple times with my friend
-making two of the best videos I've ever made
-seeing my favorite teacher again
-producing two of my short plays
-getting into college
-making New York a good memory
-working
and for every standout memory, there were also the rough times. The times where everything felt dull and nothing seemed to matter. Lost friends, memories shattered by the truth, and the destruction of trust. But it's no use to dwell on these moments.
I wouldn't change a minute. Because no matter how awful something may have been, they are lessons in life. I live life with the notion that everything is a learning experience. I have no regrets because no matter what happens I can find the positive in it. You learn from every experience whether big or small, and you take those lessons with you as your step towards the future.
for 2018 I wish for
-happiness
-hope
-dreams
-harmony
-peace
-motivation
-trust
-positivity
-no regrets
my resolution, as it is every year is to live a life without regrets
As I spent the last day of 2017 in bed, the words of my coworker came to mind. If you're sick now think of it as rock bottom, now the only way you can go... is up.
hello 2018, let's make it a good year.
-HA
