After reuniting in New York, Dai rekindles his old flame with his ex-girlfriend Meng. This time their love seems perfect until Meng confesses to Dai that she needs to regularly attend some parties held by a mysterious rich man which she can't disclose the contents of. Trying to suppress his suspicion at the beginning, eventually he embarks on an investigation that gradually spirals out of control.
